“Dreams are renewable. No matter what our age or condition there are still untapped possibilities within us and new beauty waiting to be born” – Dale Turner
Children have a way of dreaming BIG and in their daydreams, they can be anyone or anything they want to be. I to, had and now have big dreams again.
I had a complicated childhood that ended several of the dreams I used to have. Before I experienced the trauma of abandonment and physical and sexual abuse, my imagination would take me into a world where I was in control, in charge and safe. I also dreamed of being a talk show host and speaker.
Then my dreams turned to nightmares and the only time my original visions would come back where at moments of rock bottom or what I thought was my rock bottom.
I never knew or understood this at the time but God gives us an imagination so he can give us the blueprint for our lives. The evil one, our enemy knows that God will write His plan in our imagination, so he works all day and night to make sure we quit dreaming and believing God’s plan for our great future.
The enemy brings us failure, discouragement, and pressures to try to remove us from the beautiful future God has planned for our lives.
If you are struggling with not being able to see your vision, pray for the “eyes of imagination to be enlightened because that is where God writes his plan for us. God wants us to use our imaginations and to dream. He wants us believing in the “impossible”.
Children of God give up on their dreams letting fear of failure, obstacles, and disappointments consume them, paralyzing their hopes and dreams.
Why not become like a child and dream again?
“The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.” Eleanor Roosevelt
